About us

Hi, we are a Swiss family of 4 sailing around the world in our X-Yachts X-482.

We have two daughters Jaël (10) and Amina (6). We left from Italy in September 2017 and crossed the Atlantic from Tenerife in November. After a season in the Caribbean we crossed the Panama Canal in April 18.

Most of 2018 we spendin the unforgettable South Pacific. Marquesas, Tuamotus, Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc… Via Niue and Tonga we sailed to New Zealand. Here we travelled on land with a campervan and took care of our yacht.

In March 2019 we sailed over to Sydney, Australia where we explored this magnificent city for 2 months. After Australia we returned into the Pacific and visited New Caledonia and Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.

The Torres Strait brought us to Asia. Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Maldives were our key destination.

In 2020, due to Covid, we spent 6 months in La Réunion, a breathtaking Volcanic Island. From there we sailed to South Africa and rounded the cape of Good Hope.

In 2021 we returned from Cape Town via Brasil to the Caribbean. Here the circle of our circumnavigation closed.

We were not entirely done with Cruising and added another season in North America, cruising as far north as New Foundland. In December 2021, André returned to the Caribbean singelhanded.

In 2022 we plan to return to Europe via the Azores. Once in Europe, Mirabella will be put up for sale and we will resume our land life.
